The Greater Los Angeles Visitors and Convention Bureau has opened a visitors center at Los Angeles International Airport to assist the over 5 million international annual arrivals. The center, in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, will provide information about Los Angeles and assistance with airport services. Mini tours are available for travelers on short layovers. The staff has fluency in 10 languages. All terminals are connected to the center by courtesy telephone.

Singapore Airlines and CAAC (China) will inaugurate service between the two countries this summer. On May 15 Singapore will begin twice-weekly service, Singapore/Shanghai/Peking, and on June 17 CAAC will begin twice weekly routing on Peking/Guangzhou/Singapore.

British Caledonian Airways is scheduled to begin service between London and Jeddah and Dhahran in Saudi Arabia on March 31. Flights will be every day but Saturday and beginning July 6 will be daily.
