Nearly half of the nation’s population would rather live in small towns, a Gallup Poll said. But the poll showed also that only 34% of those living in cities were dissatisfied with their communities. Presented with seven choices ranging from a large city with at least 1 million persons to rural areas, 48% said they would rather live in a town with a small population, said the survey appearing in the New York Times.
