Culver City-based Ashton-Tate, a leading independent microcomputer software publisher, reported that net income and revenues for its fiscal year ended Jan. 31 rose 20% and 107%, respectively. Ashton-Tate spokeswoman Gail Pomerantz noted that during the first two quarters, the company sold off two divisions and acquired several product rights. Those actions, she said, account for part of the jump during the last fiscal year.

Correction: Culver City-based Ashton-Tate, a leading independent microcomputer software publisher, reported that net income and revenues for its fiscal year ended Jan. 31 rose 20% and 107%, respectively. Ashton-Tate spokeswoman Gail Pomerantz noted that strong sales of two products introduced during the year, dBase III and Framework, accounted for part of the jump. In Tuesday’s editions, The Times reported that the company had sold off two divisions and acquired several product rights during the first two quarters of that fiscal year. However, those actions took place in the previous year and did not affect the latest fiscal year’s results.
