Cal State L.A. Play Chosen for National Festival

The Cal State Los Angeles production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” is one of six university and college plays selected for presentation at the American College Theater Festival in Washington, D.C.

Chosen from 472 entries nationwide, the five-member Cal State cast will travel to Washington with all expenses paid and perform at the John F. Kennedy Center in the Terrence Theater during a two-day festival beginning April 15.

In its 17th year, the American College Theater Festival is a national educational theater program conducted by the Kennedy Center and the University and College Theater Assn. to honor outstanding university and college theater productions.
