Iowa Appliance Factory Plans to Lay Off 160

AMANA, Iowa — Amana Refrigeration Inc. said it will lay off 160 workers from its refrigeration plant by March 29, because of softening sales of the microwave ovens, refrigerators and freezers made at the factory.
