An 11-year National Park Service veteran has been named to oversee long-range planning of land protection and development in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
As assistant superintendent for land use and resource management, Nancy Fries Ehorn will also work with planners in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, the City of Los Angeles and 65 other agencies. Ehorn, a Ventura resident, has been chief of professional services for the recreation area for the past four years.
