Navy Awards 6-Ship Pact

WASHINGTON —
The Navy said it has awarded an $85.5-million contract to Halter Marine Inc. of New Orleans for the construction of six ocean-surveillance ships. The company is expected to finish the six vessels by November, 1989, the Navy said Friday.
