Four Republican Farm Belt senators charged that the Administration is not living up to an agreement to help farmers avoid bankruptcy through President Reagan’s farm debt adjustment program. Sens. James Abdnor (R-S.D.), Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), Rudy Boschwitz (R-Minn.) and Dave Durenberger (R-Minn.) made the charge in a letter asking Reagan to intervene. Abdnor said the program is being weakened by an Administration decision not to use Farmers Home Administration farm ownership loan guarantees.
