J. A. Montgomery has been selected mayor in the City Council’s annual reorganization. Montgomery, who has served on the council since 1974, was previously mayor in 1978 and 1982. Mervin Money was named mayor pro tem. James Coughlin was named chairman of the Community Redevelopment Agency and John Van Doren was named vice chairman. Carlyle Falkenborg is the outgoing mayor.
