Jo Alice Lochmiller, 58, an officer in two North County family-owned investment and mortgage companies, was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on 18 counts of unlawful sales of securities. She is the mother of Stephen Lochmiller, 31, a convicted investment swindler serving a four-year state prison term after pleading guilty in 1984 to 24 counts of securities sales violations. The charges against Mrs. Lochmiller stem from the sale of unregistered corporate notes from Lochmiller Industries to investors during 1982. She was originally charged with 24 counts, but Municipal Judge Nicholas Kasimatis dropped six counts after a preliminary hearing. The Lochmillers also ran the Lochmiller Mortgage Co. Both businesses are now defunct. Mrs. Lochmiller, who is free on her own recognizance, will be arraigned April 24.
