Lois Dwan reaches a new height in her endless trek toward food shopping, with her ridiculous critique, “Breaking Ranks with the Brunch Bunch” (March 31).

She lauds the Hotel Bel-Air (“a hands-down winner”) for its cosmetic delights--the flowers, the paintings, the “proper uniforms” of the captains--but tells us that the food is “less blissful!”

For 20 bucks per breakfast, anywhere should be Paradise. How much can a couple of eggs and a pot of coffee cost? DAVID R. GOOCH
