Track Roundup : Kingdom Wins Hurdles in Trinidad

Olympic gold medalist Roger Kingdom of the United States won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.2 in an international track and field meet Saturday night at Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.
France’s Thierry Vigneron won the pole vault at 18-8. Doug Lytle of the U.S. was second at 18-0 1/2.
Sam Skinner set a meet record of 8:51.56 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to help California defeat Pac-10 rivals USC and Arizona State at Berkeley.
California defeated Arizona State, 109-53, and beat USC, 93-65.
Mike Stahr of Arizona won the 1,500 in 3:43.06 and Darwin Cook of USC won the 100 in 10.29.
Olympic gold medalist Sam Graddy set a meet record of 10.19 in the 100 meters at the Dogwood Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.
Brian Whitehead of Joliet, Ill., set a meet record of 7-6 1/2 in the high jump.
Jackie Joyner won three events as the UCLA women’s track team defeated 1984 NCAA Division II champion Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 83-61, in a dual meet at Drake Stadium.
Joyner broke three meet records in the winning the high jump (6-0), long jump (19-11 3/4) and triple jump (41-6 1/2).
