U.S. Deficit Estimate Reduced

WASHINGTON — The White House Office of Management and Budget, citing increased tax collections and slightly decreased federal spending, today scaled back its estimates of the budget deficit for the current fiscal year to $213.3 billion, $8.9 billion less than the February projection.
