The Hell’s Angels counted the thousands of dollars raised for their legal aid defense fund during a peaceful weekend picnic in the San Bernardino area that drew about 2,000 members of biker groups from all over the state. It was not known how much was raised during the get-together, but much of the $5 entry fees collected will be used to pay the $40,000 legal tab run up by Hell’s Angel Kenny L. Baker. Baker was acquitted in 1984 of the 1980 shooting death of Dennis Graham at his Highland home in San Bernardino County, organizers said. Sporting blue jeans, leather jackets, tattoos, T-shirts, beards and long hair--and the ubiquitous Harley Davidson “choppers”--bikers socialized, drank beer and roamed among the scattered booths set up on the grass at Glen Helen Regional Park. Bikers representing between 20 and 30 groups as well as independent motorcycle enthusiasts attended the event.
