California City Bank Net Up 400%; Assets Also Rise

California City Bancorp, the holding company for California City Bank of Orange, has reported earnings of $165,000 for its first quarter, a five-fold increase over the $38,000 posted a year earlier.
Total assets as if March 31 were $35.4 million, 43% higher than the year before. Loans as of the same date were $25.2 million, double the $12.6 million of the prior year. Deposits amounted to $30.3 million, 52% above the $19.8 million of the year-ago period.
