Members of the Mission Hills community planning group asked a City Council committee Wednesday to call a public hearing on their request for an interim ordinance that would change the zoning on the community’s canyons and open space, and thus stop development on hillsides and canyon bottoms.
The council’s Transportation and Land Use Committee asked the city Planning Department to write an interim ordinance before the May 30 Planning Commission hearing.
