Readmitted Filipina Has Baby
The Filipina wife of a U.S. citizen who was deported as an illegal alien in November but readmitted to this country three weeks later when immigration officials bowed to public pressure gave birth to a son today at Santa Monica Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Eleanor Parnes, 29, was allowed to return to this country when her husband, Richard, mounted a protest that reached all the way to the White House. The spokeswoman said the mother and 7-pound baby, David Jason “are doing fine, and Richard is ecstatic.”
