Orders to U.S. factories for manufactured goods dropped 0.9% in February, a sharper decline than previously thought, according to revised figures released by the government. The Commerce Department put total orders for the month at $193.4 billion, compared to $195.2 billion in January. The decline was the largest since a 1.3% drop in October. Orders had risen 0.8% in January. The department originally had reported that orders for manufactured goods dropped only 0.2% in February.
