Hollywood Success Story

After reading Dick Turpin’s March 31 column about the lack of youth in real estate, I want to comment.
After graduating from UCLA with a degree in psychology, I found it difficult to obtain employment in my chosen field. After several frustrating months, I found myself working as a receptionist in an escrow company. I decided to take courses geared specifically toward escrow procedures and I became an escrow officer.
After watching the volume of sales in the Beverly Hills area, I decided to get my real estate license. Having worked for several years in the field, I decided to join Ron Abrams when he opened his own offices in Beverly Hills, which led to my successful year in 1984, being selected the top sales person in our office. I am now a vice president with the company.
