Honda awarded a new $15-million ad account.

Gardena-based American Honda said Ketchum Advertising/San Francisco received the account for its new Acura sport auto line. The agency, which beat out Backer and Spielvogel of New York and the Bloom Agency of Dallas, will establish a Los Angeles office for the Honda account. The Acura budget is in addition to Honda’s current annual $45 million advertising account handled by Needham Harper Worldwide/Los Angeles.
