The president of a small insurance company was sentenced Tuesday to four years in state prison for sexually assaulting a job applicant he was interviewing.
Joe Saturnino Halog, 43, of Spring Valley, also was fined $500 by San Diego Superior Court Judge Daniel Kremer, who denied probation.
Halog pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to assault with intent to rape a 32-year-old Vietnamese woman he was interviewing in his home on Chestnut Street in Spring Valley on Aug. 21. The woman broke her hip after she jumped out a second-story window to escape Halog.
