David L. Wolper to Be Honored

Film and television producer David L. Wolper will receive the 53rd Asa V. Call Achievement Award May 5 at USC’s annual General Alumni Assn. Awards Banquet at the Beverly Wilshire.

USC President James H. Zumberge will present the award to Wolper, producer of the opening and closing ceremonies for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games and an alumnus of the USC School of Cinema-Television. The Call award is given annually to an outstanding USC alumnus.

Alumni Merit Awards also will be bestowed on musician/composer/producer Herb Alpert, engineering executive Harold W. Dornsife, presidential emissary Morris Draper of the U.S. State Department, attorney and former Trojan and Rams football star Patrick C. Haden, Occidental Chemical Corp. Board Chairman Ray R. Irani and Katherine Bogdanovich Loker, who, with her husband Donald, established the Donald P. and Katherine B. Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute at USC.
