Walter Gates to Lead Group

Walter R. Gates, marketing manager for Rockwin Corp. of Santa Fe Springs, has been installed as 1985-86 president of the Southern California chapter, American Concrete Institute, succeeding Mike Kerstetter, executive vice president of CalMat Co.

A native of England, Gates has been with Rockwin for 15 years and has been associated with the precast concrete industry since 1948.

Other newly installed chapter officers include Richard Hodson of L. M. Scofield Co., Los Angeles, vice president, and directors Raymond Davis of Pasadena, a consultant; Dean White of CalMat Co., Los Angeles; Tom Verti of Charles Pankow Inc., Altadena; Hans Steinmann of King, Benioff, Steinmann, King Engineers, Van Nuys; Terry Dooley of Morley Construction Co., Los Angeles, and Ross Adams of Portland Cement Assn., Pasadena.
