New Investment Trust Placements Top $3 Billion

The total of public offerings and private placements in real estate investment trusts registered or completed during the first three months of 1985 was more than $3.3 billion, according to the National Assn. of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Public offerings for all of 1984 totaled $2.78 billion.
