Beverly Hills Man Heads Building Officials Body

Anthony J. Nisich, director of building and safety for the city of Beverly Hills, has been elected president of California Building Officials, a Sacramento-based association of building and code enforcement officials from more than 400 jurisdictions in the state.

Nisich previously has served in building inspection posts in Sacramento and Santa Clara counties and has been active in the organization since 1978.

Bob Storchheim, manager of inspection services for Irvine, is the new vice president and Charles C. Coen, chief building inspector for Placer County, treasurer. James W. Barthman, manager of inspection services in Oakland, is secretary.

Directors are Alfred P. Alciati, Morgan Hill; Richard J. Esgate, Santee, and Donald L. Schultze, Sacramento County. Martin Orenyak, planning and inspection director for Carlsbad, is completing the second year of a two-year term as director.
