The company said its prices dropped by up to $600 on some models of its Data General-One portable personal computer, reducing the price of the most commonly sold configuration by 15% to $3,495 from $4,095. Falling prices for several of the components contained in the computer enabled the firm to reduce prices, according to Alan Oppenheimer, director of dealer marketing.
