1985 Nobel Prizes to Be Worth 9% More

STOCKHOLM —
The Nobel Foundation announced Tuesday that cash stipends for the 1985 Nobel Prizes will be increased 9%, adjusting for Sweden’s annual inflation rate.
Spokeswoman Margareta Ehren said the 1985 prizes will be 1,800,000 kronor, about $200,000 at the current rate of exchange. Last year’s prizes were equivalent to $193,000.
