Air New Zealand has been granted government permission to buy six new Boeing 737 jetliners valued at more than $100 million, enabling the airline to replace the six oldest 737s in its domestic fleet . . . Ralston Purina said it signed a definitive agreement with Forstmann Little & Co. for the sale of its Foodmaker restaurant unit, which operates 800 Jack in the Box restaurants, for $500 million to Forstmann and members of the unit’s senior management.
