Storer signed a definitive merger agreement.

Miami-based Storer Communications, under siege by a group of shareholders who want to liquidate the company, said it has signed a definitive agreement providing for the previously announced merger with a company to be organized by Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co., a New York investment firm that specializes in leveraged buy-outs. Storer said the transaction should be completed by year-end, but the merger is subject to a number of conditions, including shareholder approval.
