Sierracin projected lower earnings for 1985.

The Sylmar-based company, which makes equipment for the aerospace and electronics industries, said its profits would be about half of the 1984 level of $4.5 million, or $1.27 per share. But company officials said their company’s revenue would be “up slightly” from $83.5 million reported for 1984. The company blamed its anticipated earnings decline on the weak electronics market, a fire at one of its divisions and the higher expenses expected from its recently expanded plants. Sierracin is a leading employer in the San Fernando Valley.
