House Cuts Mint’s Budget

WASHINGTON —
The House on Tuesday approved a bill authorizing the U.S. Mint to spend $47.7 million next year, $60,000 less than its current budget. The mint manufactures coins, safeguards government holdings of monetary metals, and receives and refines gold and silver bullion.
