Herbalife filed a lawsuit against General Nutrition.

The Los Angeles-based marketer of weight-loss and health products alleges that General Nutrition has violated the Herbalife trademark and is misrepresenting its products as those of Herbalife. Perry Turner, Herbalife International attorney, has asked a U.S. District Court to order General Nutrition to correct its illegal and “coat-tailing” practices and to publish advertising disclaimers stating that Herbalife products are not associated with Pittsburgh-based General Nutrition’s herbal diet plan.
