A jet-setting Indian prince known locally as “Princy” was found in his extravagant French Riviera home Wednesday with his throat cut.

Police in the seaside village near Nice said it appeared to have been a suicide and ordered an autopsy.

Sayajirao Pratapsinha Gaehkwar of Baroda, 40, was the youngest son of Gujarat state’s last maharajah before India’s independence in 1947. He spoke unaccented French and English and grew up jetting between Maimi, New York, St. Moritz, Paris and the Riviera before settling 12 years ago in Cagnes-Sur-Mer.

Neighbors said he rarely left the house.
