Nicaraguan Ambassador Javier Chamorro Mora, appearing before the U.N. Security Council, denounced the United States for “criminal and immoral aggression” against his country. The council met in response to a Nicaraguan complaint about the “extremely serious situation” it is facing, both because of the U.S. trade embargo ordered by President Reagan and because of continuing military activity by insurgents fighting the Managua regime. The United States will reply to the charges today.
