Garden Grove : Gorgeous Winners Will Receive Awards Tuesday

The winners of Garden Grove Gorgeous--the city’s annual program aimed at encouraging neighborhood pride--have been announced. Rewards will be presented Tuesday night at the Community Meeting Center.

Winners for the seven best groomed neighborhoods are: the 5000 block of David Webster Circle, the 12000 block of Flagstone Avenue, the 11000 block of Margie Lane, the 8900 block of Mary Hill Drive, the 10500 block of Paladium Avenue, the 11500 block of Park Lane and the 10100 block of Roseless Drive.

Additionally, 18 individuals have been selected for the outstanding appearance of their homes: H. Anthony Nicklin, Edward E. Ray, Robert Darcey, Grace Parkin, Jay Sherwold, Eva M. Cumming, Edward Ansell, Madison Piersoll, Robert Sbordone, Burton A. Robison, Odis L. Pickrell, Michael Hedtke, Ronald Grosse, Henry W. Butler, E. W. Butler, Robert Forster, C. A. Cashen and Sharon Patton.

The awards ceremony at 7 p.m. will include live entertainment, refreshments and a variety of displays, demonstrations and video presentations. The community center is at 11300 Stanford Ave. in the Civic Center.
