BATTING BEATTY

I found Warren Beatty’s stand awfully refreshing. I am thankful that someone has the audacity to stand up and say that sometimes, just sometimes, maybe there is a bit more at stake here than simply the means to sell a little more popcorn, or in the case of TV, a little more toilet bowl cleaner.

Motion pictures (OK, some motion pictures, just like some paintings, some music, etc.) are in fact art, popular art, and should be treated and protected as such.
