Gates Learjet, which suspended assembly of the aircraft in 1984, said it was resuming operations because of improving market conditions. So far this year, the company has delivered three Learjet 55s, which each sell for between $5.6 million and $6.3 million. The firm declined to say how many orders were on hand but said that 100 employees have been recalled.
