Shamrock’s offer for Central Soya has expired.

The company, led by the Roy E. Disney family, said the offer to acquire all outstanding shares of common stock of Central Soya expired last Wednesday. Shamrock said that, before the offer expired, 11.9 million shares were tendered and not withdrawn. Those shares, together with the 1.5 million shares that Shamrock already owned, constitute approximately 96% of all outstanding Central Soya shares. The company said that its depositary, Bankers Trust, began paying $24.25 per share in cash for validly tendered shares last Monday. Central Soya is an international agribusiness and food processing company.
