Budget Vote in the Senate
So Pete Wilson came by ambulance on a gurney to vote to limit Security benefits and to give the military-industrial complex a cost-of-living increase with the funds.
What a hero! He admitted the bill was a turkey. So why all the trouble? One had to read the back pages of your story to find out. Wilson had just raised $1.2 million at two small parties and was planning to raise $8 or $9 million more.
When the chips are down, Pete will vote for the special interests every time.
