China to Buy 8 Boeing Jetliners

PEKING —
China today announced the purchase of eight commercial jetliners from the Boeing Co. of Seattle in a deal estimated to be worth at least $200 million. Officials said the Civil Aviation Administration of China signed a contract to purchase one Boeing 747, two 767s and five 737-200s. Boeing Chairman T. A. Wilson was in Peking for the formal contract signing Thursday.
