U.N. Golan Unit to Stay

UNITED NATIONS —
The Security Council has voted unanimously to extend the life of the 1,331-man U.N. Disengagement Observer Force on the Syrian Golan Heights for another six months. The new mandate for the four-nation force runs until Nov. 30. Both Israel and Syria agreed to keep the 11-year-old force between them on the strategic heights.
