Beverly Hills
The Board of Education has announced that its contract negotiations with the Beverly Hills Education Assn., the union representing the teachers, have reached an impasse. The district will request a state-appointed mediator to help the parties resolve their differences. Both sides met Friday but were unable to reach an agreement. School officials said that a major area of disagreement has been the hours of instructional time at the high school.
