Jenner Tournament Benefits Children
The Bruce and Linda Jenner Celebrity Tennis “Love Match” Tournament will be held today at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
More than 40 celebrities will pair with an equal number of local players in round-robin competition, which runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some of the show-business personalities expected to attend are Anson Williams of “Happy Days,” David Hasselhoff of “Night Rider,” Michael Warren of “Hill Street Blues,” Morgan Brittany of “Dallas” and Cindy Gibb of “Fame.” “Smurf” characters also will be present throughout the day.
Admission is $2 for adults, and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at the gate. There will be a daylong raffle with prizes donated from various companies.
All proceeds will go to the United Cerebral Palsy/Spastic Children’s Foundation, which will use the funds to help build a facility for the developmentally disabled in Ventura County.

Fratianne to Skate in Valley
Former two-time world champion Linda Fratianne will star in a benefit ice skating exhibition June 15 at the ICELAND skating rink in Van Nuys.
The benefit will honor the late Howard Craker, who was a figure skater and original owner of ICELAND. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Skating Club of Van Nuys Skaters’ Fund.
Fratianne, currently skating with the Disney On Ice show, was a four-time U.S. national champion and a silver medalist in the 1980 Olympic Games.
The exhibition also will feature 1984 Olympians Mark Cockerell and Debi Thomas.
Performances are at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m.

Sign-Ups for YMCA Swimming
Swimming-lesson sign-ups begin today at the West Valley YMCA in Reseda. The lessons are the first of several activities offered by the YMCA over the summer months.
The YMCA offers lessons to children as young as 3 months.
Member registration is from 8 to 11 a.m., and non-member registration is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with classes set to begin June 24.

Indoor Polo at Equestrian Center
A professional indoor polo match will be held in the Los Angeles Equestrian Center at Griffith Park Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The Los Angeles Colts of the Professional Polo Assn. will host the San Francisco team. A pregame club match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

5K/10K Run at Moorpark College
A 5K/10K run will be held Sunday morning at Moorpark College. The 5K begins at 7:30. The 10K begins at 8:15.

City-Sponsored Tournaments
The Los Angeles City Men’s Golf Championship and Handicap Tournament will take place June 8-9 and June 15-16 at Rancho, Sepulveda and Griffith Park golf courses.
The Los Angeles City Public Parks Tennis Tournament will begin Sunday and continue for the next two weekends.
