Hotel Debate to Be Televised

HERMOSA BEACH — A public forum on a proposed 250-room beachfront hotel development will be televised on the local public-access channel Monday and Tuesday.
Storer Cable TV Inc. will air the debate, which was held at the Hermosa Community Center last month, on Channel 10 at 8 p.m. both days. The 1-hour discussion will include statements and rebuttals by both proponents and opponents of the proposed development and questions from the news media and audience.
Residents on June 11 will have a chance to vote on the proposed development agreement between the city and the firm of Greenwood & Langlois, which would build the $31-million hotel complex on the Strand at the site of the former Biltmore hotel.
