Reagan Aide Becomes Envoy to Switzerland

BERN, Switzerland —
Faith Ryan Whittlesey was accredited Friday as American ambassador to Switzerland, the U.S. Embassy said. It is her second tour in the position.
Whittlesey, 46, presented her credentials to President Kurt Furgler, according to an embassy news release.
She was ambassador to Switzerland from 1981 to 1983, then returned to Washington to serve as assistant to the President for public liaison.
