Several affiliates of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union have signed new three-year contracts with outer wear industries and negotiations are continuing with other groups, the union said in New York. Jay Mazur, secretary-treasurer of the 100,000-member union, said agreements have been reached with dressmakers, blouse makers, coat and suit manufacturers and sportswear manufacturers. Children’s wear negotiations continued. The contracts call for a freeze on wages in the first year, a 6% hike in the second year and a 5% increase in the final year.
