A sniper opened fire on cars traveling Interstate 95, wounding six persons, authorities said in Jacksonville, Fla. Nine cars were hit, Jacksonville Police spokesman Charley Hill said, adding: “The suspect is still at large.” One woman was shot through the nose, and two women were hit by bullet fragments. All of those injured were treated at a hospital and released. Police searched a wooded area for a man spotted near the scene but found only two men who were later cleared.
