A 71-year-old National City man was struck and killed by a tour bus Tuesday while walking on Interstate 5. The San Diego County coroner’s office identified the victim as Russell Eugene Davidson, who lived in the 1400 block of Harbison Avenue.
Witnesses said Davidson staggered into northbound traffic on the highway near Civic Center Drive about 5:55 p.m. and was hit by the bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:23 p.m., the coroner’s office said.
