La Jolla
The body of an apparent suicide victim was found Wednesday afternoon by snorkelers at the base of a La Jolla cliff. The victim, whom authorities believe leaped to his death, was identified by the San Diego County coroner’s office as Marcel G. Chabot, of La Jolla. Chabot was found at the bottom of a cliff in the 1600 block of Coast Walk. A coroner’s spokesman said that Chabot had recently been released from a hospital, after a previous suicide attempt.
