The Whole Story . . . and Nothing But
The media should stop all of the slanted journalism concerning Rocky Marciano’s supposed greatness. You (and others) have yet to discuss that Marciano fought the bulk of his title defenses against over-the-hill 40-year-old ex-greats like Ezzard Charles, Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, etc. Then you try to discredit Larry Holmes’ accomplishments by belittling his opponents.
Tell the whole story before comparing the great Holmes to the overrated and mediocre Marciano. Quit trying to preserve the white hope of the past.
